Join us for a fun science-filled day
Join us for a fun filled day at Mansfield Central Library as we take Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths out of the lab and into our everyday lives.
We will have a variety of fun drop activities led by scientists, researchers and students based in Nottinghamshire, they will explore a range of STEM topics and specialisms and teach you all about the work that they do.
FREE
No need to book - just drop in (with the exception of the inflatable planetarium shows).
For children aged 7+.

About the Festival of Science and Curiosity
This event is part of Nottinghamshire Festival of Science and Curiosity (FOSAC), produced by local education charity Ignite!, in collaboration with a wide range of partners across Nottinghamshire. This year, the event runs from 9th -20th February 2026.
Each year FOSAC invites the people of Nottinghamshire to explore, experiment and examine; to be curious, to ask questions, and to seek answers about the world around us, and this year is no different! We have lots of free events, including drop-in and ticketed sessions, happening across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
