Join George Harrison as he talks about football, literature, and his prize-listed debut novel Season, set in the stands of a struggling Premier League football club. Told over thirty-eight chapters – one for each game of the league campaign – Season offers a heartwarming look at all the ways football can bring people together, even as lives away from the stadium begin to fall apart.
Despite growing up in the West Country, George is a lifelong Norwich City fan. His twin passions for football and literature came together in the writing of his debut novel Season which was published by Eye Books in 2025. Season was shortlisted for the Nero Book Awards and the East Anglian Book Awards and has been translated into Italian.
George has also worked as a freelance editor and ghostwriter on an eclectic mix of non-fiction books. His editorial back catalogue ranges from the memoirs of a professional golfer to true-crime stories and a book about the life of a South African spy.
