About the Concert

Our celebration of World Cup 2026 includes two instrumental pieces to play along with, two songs to sing and a dance piece to get you moving.

In preparation, do allow plenty of time to download the free KS2 resources, including CPD pack and the full programme, to help you introduce the music to your classes. This will give your pupils enough time to practice the music, songs... and dance!

2026 - Play and Sing pieces

Playing

Young musicians will play two instrumental pieces in the concert:

1. The Liberty Bell March, By John Philip Sousa

2. Mambo, from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein

For both instrumental pieces, schools are provided with individual instrumental parts, full scores for each difficult level, and sound files for rehearsals. Both pieces have three levels of difficulty. The is no chord part for Mambo, due to the difficult nature of the harmonies in this piece.

Singing

All students will sing two songs in the concert:

 1. We’re All In This Together*

 2. Ai Caramba Samba

*For We’re All In This Together, there is a video explaining the Makaton signing in the resources provided. Makaton is a language programme that uses speech, signs and symbols. Over 100,000 children and adults use Makaton as either their main method of communication or as a way to support speech. Not only is it used by those with communication and learning difficulties, it is increasingly being adopted by the general public to aid communication. By including a Makaton-signed song in our programme, we are working to improve the level of inclusion at Come & Play concerts.

Please note, we won’t be using Makaton for Ai Caramba Samba. There are optional dance moves for the chorus of Ai Caramba Samba, which can be seen at the following video: Youtube.com/watch?AiCarambaHalle

Dance

The dance piece for this year is Waka Waka, and there is no preparation required.
