Hands On Heritage Day 2026 - Mansfield Library

Hands On Heritage Day returns to Mansfield Central Library this May, bringing a variety of fun and free activities for all the family!

Come along and explore pop-up museums and local history displays, find out about family history, browse the books for sale, and get hands-on with fun crafts and activities.

Love local history? Join us for the launch of Inspire’s new Nottinghamshire Digital Heritage platform! Discover Mansfield and beyond through real community voices – hear oral histories, watch video stories, and explore newly digitised archives. Step into the past and get hands-on with digital heritage.

This year will also feature the launch of our 'Inspire at 10' exhibition, celebrating a decade of Inspire and all that we’ve achieved since our creation in 2016. There will be live music from our Red Hot Band and refreshments will be available.
