Join award winning author and I Am A Reader writer, Eve Makis, live at the library for this special workshop for book lovers, where you'll get the chance to get under the skin of our most loved pastime.
You'll receive a free copy of Six Stories from I Am A Reader - the book of short stories that accompanies the touring I Am A Reader exhibition. The virtual exhibition can be viewed online at iamareader.org.uk, or you can visit Retford Library 29 July - 27 August or Arnold Library 9 September - 22 October.
Read passages from the book and discuss your responses together. What do you feel, hear, see or taste when you read? Is it what the writer intended? Where does the author's work end and the reader's begin?
Refreshments will be available for purchase during the session.
Don't miss this relaxed, informal session, that takes a look at what it really means to be a reader.
This event is part of Inspire's exciting I Am A Reader campaign - which explores and celebrates the creativity of reading. To find out more about the campaign, read articles on all things reading, browse book recommendations and get involved at iamareader.org.uk
