With the guidance of professional storyteller, Andy Barrett, you’ll have the chance to explore your creativity in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
There’ll be space for you to share your thoughts and stories and to try different types of storytelling.
Maybe you can record your stories, and decide what sound effects and music will help bring them to life; maybe you can dig into your past adventures through making maps of the places in which you have lived; maybe you can share your stories with others, or write them on postcards to send to someone you know.
No previous storytelling experience is necessary, and this is all about trying something new and having a go.
Suitable for adults of all ages and young people aged 7 and over.

Andy Barrett is a Nottingham based community storyteller, playwright, and academic. He has worked with thousands of local people to explore their histories and stories producing plays, films, and audio projects.
His plays for radio and stage include Dolly (a Times top five show), Tony’s Last Tape which was performed in the Houses of Parliament, and Barbeque 67 for BBC Radio Four.
Andy has always been interested in the ways that people can tell and share their own stories, leading him to make work for all kinds of contexts; including a touring play for mental health clinics in Kerala, a community play for a basti in India, and audio stories for the NHS exploring end-of-life care.
