With the guidance of professional storyteller, Nicky Rafferty, you’ll have the chance to explore your creativity in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Join storyteller Nicky Rafferty for a lively and interactive story making workshop with games and activities to free imaginations. Stories are all around us: in our ears, behind our knees, under the carpets and over the trees, so many stories, so much choice, let’s make some characters and give them a voice. There are lots of ways to share and build stories and this interactive and participatory workshop will be a time and space for you to find your own way and have some big story fun.
No previous storytelling experience is necessary, and this is all about trying something new and having a go.

Nicky Rafferty is an experienced and versatile storyteller who loves the challenge and variety of bringing storytelling to different audiences and contexts.
Her recent projects include delivering the outreach element for the ‘Restoration of the Leaves of Southwell Project’ at Southwell Minster and the ‘Reawakening St Mary Magdalene’ in Newark, through storytelling with a variety of community groups, schools and care homes.
Storytelling is at the heart of everything Nicky does, she believes it is powerful, agile and versatile and can be applied in many different contexts.
