This exhibition celebrates the making of 'Leaf Number Three' - a new Virtual Reality film made from the drawings of oak leaves by groups across Nottinghamshire!

My Pockets. Leaf Number 3.jpg

The film explores the ideas of being together but separate, the same but different using the motif of leaves on a tree with audio of a poem telling the story. The workshops, illustration and animation were undertaken by My Pockets, and the film was created in VR by Neon8.

Inspire are 1 of 9 library services to be part of a wider Digital Spaces project. Digital Spaces is an ambitious new programme in association with Arts Council England, BFI, awarding National Lottery funding and The Space. Launching in 2025, this forward-thinking initiative project will deliver an array of digital experiences – including two awe-inspiring virtual reality tours, a VR masterclass delivered by Neon 8, and Inspire will produce a VR film commission delivered as The Big Draw 2025.

Thank you to Beeston, Mansfield, Eastwood and Arnold Places of Welcome, Middle Street Resource Centre Art Group, Beeston Canalside Heritage Centre - Knit and Craft Social Group for MIND, Rainworth Youth Group, Beeston ESOL Group, Clipstone Scout Group, for contributing a drawing.
