Presented by One Dance UK, the U.Dance National Festival brings together talented young dancers from across the UK for an unmissable weekend of performances. The U.Dance National Festival takes place at a different location each year, with Glasgow being the location for 2026. Inspire Youth Arts are thrilled that Dance Development Project have been selected to perform at such an exciting celebration of youth dance!

Across a couple of intensive weekends, the dancers (Adem, Brodie and Max) collaborated with professional choreographer Siobhan Hayes. The result is a gentle, yet powerful piece titled ‘Before the Last Tree Falls’ which explores themes of deforestation.

After being shortlisted following their performance at the regional platform; Applause Dance Festival in April, we are excited to announce that the group have been selected to represent the East Midlands at U.Dance 2026. We are beyond proud and excited to represent Inspire, championing inclusivity and creativity on a national level.

The festival takes place over two days, and Dance Development Project are programmed to perform on Saturday 4 July, with youth groups spanning from Scotland to Ireland, Yorkshire to the South East.

Inspire Youth Arts Dance Development Project is an inclusive dance mentoring programme. It aims to empower dancers to unlock their full potential. Helping to build skills, deepen artistic understanding, and gain the confidence, tools, and inspiration needed to pursue a vibrant career in dance.
