Our City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Hospitality Services is an excellent course if you are looking for a career in the Hospitality Industry or just want to improve your culinary skills.

This is a natural progression from the Level 1 Hospitality course and many of our learners make this their next step. This course is open to those who hold a Level 1 qualification in Hospitality, or experience in the industry.

What will we cover?

You can expect to:

  • Cover a range of practical and theoretical units in a purpose-built commercial kitchen to give you an idea of real-life experience of a fast-paced industry 
  • Learn the correct culinary knife skills and cutting techniques
  • Learn complex meals from scratch 
  • Work as part of a team, offering customer service at real events 
  • Gain a Level 2 Food Safety qualification, as well as the skills and ability to create dishes from a variety of ingredients using different cooking techniques.

Progression and Careers

You may wish to progress on to a Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Services, a Traineeship, Apprenticeship or employment in the sector. 

There are lots of jobs and careers on offer in the food, drink, and entertainment industry such as:

  • Chef 
  • Kitchen Assistance
  • Waiting Staff
  • Hotel Staff 
  • Bar Staff 
  • Retail
