City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma For The Early Years Practitioner (Early Years Educator)

About the course

You will be required to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of early years education and care, including:

  • Supporting and promoting children's early education and development
  • Developing effective and informed practice, and planning and providing effective care, teaching and learning that enables children to progress and prepares them for school
  • Making accurate and productive use of assessment
  • Safeguarding and promoting the health, safety and welfare of children
  • Working in partnership with the key persons, colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals

Is it for me?

This qualification is for learners who are interested in developing the skills and knowledge which will lead to employment in the early years sector in England.

Attendance

A 12-month course, studying one session per week, with flexible learning options available to complete the course sooner.

The course can be classroom- and workplace-based or delivered entirely in the workplace by agreement. Various locations and times are available.

Progression

On completion of this qualification, you will be able to work as an early years educator. The content in the mandatory units fully meets the qualification criteria for qualifications for early years educators set by the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL).
