Adult Learning Celebration Event at Arnold Library

From time to time we like to celebrate the incredible work and achievements of our learners and staff here at Inspire Learning!

These events are always great opportunities for past, present and prospective learners to meet our wonderful team, ask questions, enjoy taster sessions and discover the Inspire Learning experience. 

The morning begins at 10am in room 1 with a short welcome presentation followed by a live series of Flash Fiction Readings, where learners will be sharing their own short stories as part of the National Year of Reading 2026.

At 11am, in room 2, we will hold a Learner Voice session, where learners will gather to share their views on Inspire Learning. At the same time, in room 1, there will be a Drawing Gedling session. This is a chance for guests to choose their favourite Gedling landmark and use a mixture of pens, pencils, crayons or other art materials to colour and personalise their picture.

Throughout the event, there will also be a range of drop-in activities, including:

• Learn CPR

• Spot common scams

• Discover volunteering opportunities and become a Community Maker

• Special love-your-library activity

• Visit the gallery of learners’ work

• Plus refreshments
