Do you want to know more about how to weave a fictional narrative around historical facts?  Liz Carney-Marsh was inspired by members of the Women’s Land Army at Clumber Park to write a prize-winning story,  showing how history can excite the imagination.

Liz's talk is part of Inspire’s History and Imagination programme – 15 to 19 March 2021 – a week-long celebration highlighting the reasons why we love to read about the past.

A discounted season ticket giving access to all the events is also available.

Points to note about the booking:

Participants are required to book in advance.

  • A waiting room will be enabled to ensure only those who have booked places are admitted.
  • The talk will take place via Zoom. The link to join will be sent out one day in advance of the event by email to the address given on your booking. This will be generated via Eventbrite and, depending on your email settings, may sometimes be found in a junk mail folder.
  • It may be necessary to mute microphones and turn cameras off to prevent problems with video and audio quality.
