FONA and the Savile Project

The Friends of Nottinghamshire Archives'  Research group have been looking into the Savile family and its Nottinghamshire estates, including Rufford. The details had been hidden in a previously uncatalogued collection of documents. New information is now revealed about the land, villages and people - including artist Augustus Willliam Lumley Savile. There will be a chance to see original documents dating back to the 18th century.

The event is part of the Celebrating Heritage Together programme at Nottinghamshire Archives.
