Coming to a library near you! Throughout the month of May, we’ll be running FREE creative writing workshops at libraries across the county.

With the guidance of professional writer, Annie Warren, you’ll have the chance to explore your creativity in a relaxed and welcoming environment. 

There’ll be space for you to share your thoughts and stories and to try different types of writing – from poetry and memoir to fiction and playwriting. 

  

No previous writing experience is necessary, and this is all about trying something new and having a go.  

Suitable for adults of all ages and young people aged 9 and over.

Adults and children and young people aged 9+. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Annie Warren is a midlands-based writer, editor, translator, photographer, workshop facilitator, creator and occasional stand-up comedian. Her fiction has been shortlisted for the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award, the Evesham Festival of Words, and the UCL Publishers’ Prize. As an editor, Annie created and produced the Rough Guide to LGBTQ+ Friendly Places in Europe (2023), the first queer travel guide of its kind. She has hosted workshops and panels for Leeds Lit Fest, Leeds Arts University, Leeds Big Bookend, and Nonsuch Studios. She is also the founder, editor, and producer of 'Liminal', a trilogy of zines focussing on nuance, complexity and uncertainty.
