Coming to a library near you! Throughout the month of May, we’ll be running FREE creative writing workshops at libraries across the county.
With the guidance of professional writer, Clare Harvey, you’ll have the chance to explore your creativity in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
There’ll be space for you to share your thoughts and stories and to try different types of writing – from poetry and memoir to fiction and playwriting.
No previous writing experience is necessary, and this is all about trying something new and having a go.
Suitable for adults of all ages and young people aged 9 and over.

About the writer
Clare Harvey is an award winning fiction author, published by Simon & Schuster. She has a background in journalism, charity PR, and teaching English learners, and an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Nottingham. Clare is currently working towards a PhD entitled ‘Co-Authoring With Forgotten Voices’, which looks at the implications (legal, ethical and creative) of remixing memoirs into new fiction. Alongside her postgraduate research Clare also runs writing workshops and mentors emerging authors.
