Farndon Fields near Newark-on-Trent is an internationally important Late Upper Palaeolithic site. Hunter gatherers left evidence confirming the repopulation of Britain at the end of the last ice age some 14,000 years ago. This talk by Dr Ian Ross explains how and why Europeans returned to a landscape only recently vacated my mammoths.
