JazzSteps Live at the Libraries presents The Hugh Pascall Quartet - Worksop Library

Worksop Library, Worksop

Date
Time -
Venue Worksop Library

Our first gig this autumn features a quartet led by acclaimed Nottingham-based trumpet player and composer Hugh Pascall.

Their jazz is melodic and vibrant, with swinging modal explorations complimented by beautiful expressive ballads, rich in harmony and character. It’s a modern, fresh approach to post-bop jazz, influenced by the music from the likes of jazz greats Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson and Wayne Shorter,

Hugh’s quartet features top musicians from the UK jazz scene: Liam Dunachie on keys, Oli Hayhurst on bass and Jay Davis on drums.
