Join us to celebrate a big milestone - Keyworth Library turns 60! Come and meet the wonderful library team and fellow book lovers for a birthday party, as we celebrate 60 years of providing exceptional library services to our community.
There will be library and heritage displays, an exhibition, family games and activities and Poetry Group reading of a specially commissioned poem.
The morning will feature:
- Tour of Displays
- Welcome and speeches
- Keyworth Library garden opening
- Writing Group reading of our birthday poem
- Cake cutting and light refreshments
We'll also have plenty of activities and to get involved with, including:
- Family activities such as Lego, games, and crafts
- Community Exhibition ‘Adventures of a library book' – postcards designed by the public
- Local history displays and archive of the Library and Keyworth past
- Display of books published in 1966
No need to book, just turn up on the day ready to celebrate! We hope to see you there.
