Build your own rocket using paper, tape and your own engineering skills and then launch it to see how well it goes.
In this 45 minute workshop, you’ll think about the different factors that will make your rocketcar go – its aerodynamic design, the angle at which it is launched and getting the perfect amount of force to make it fly as far as possible.
There are 4 slots throughout the day - 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm.

An annual festival which takes Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths out of the lab and into our everyday lives. The festival is about inviting the people of Nottinghamshire to share not only what they know, but also what they would like to know; it’s about celebrating curiosity, asking questions and taking a leading role in finding out the answers.
The festival is produced by local education charity Ignite!, in collaboration with a wide range of partners across Nottinghamshire and every February we create opportunities for local people to engage with science and research and express their curiosity.
