Nature in our Town: Discovery Walk from Retford Library - 14th April

As part of Retford Library's Places to Connect programme, funded by Libraries Connected and Natural England, Andy from Ecologic will lead a series of walks starting from and returning to the library, taking in some of Retford's protected natural environments. Stretch your legs as you identify the plants and creatures that thrive in Retford's pockets of nature.

Monday 14th April 2025, 10:30am-12:30pm.

Earlier walks will take place on Monday 17th March and Saturday 5th April.

• Please wear appropriate footwear for walking in natural environments.
• Warm and/or waterproof clothing is recommended.
• In the event of extreme weather being forecast, you will be contacted about cancellation.
• You are invited to enjoy a warm drink on return to the library at the end of the walk. These will be available to purchase for £1 each from the library drinks station. (Please bring coins, change is given.)
• Suitable for adults and children aged 7+. Children must be accompanied by an adult with a maximum of 3 children per supervising adult.
• Walk routes will be planned with accessibility in mind but are likely to involve crossing uneven ground and climbing over stiles.
