Dissect some owl pellets and get a bit messy making your own seed bomb!
The secret life of owls - Dissect some owl pellets to gain an insight into these fascinating birds of prey. They often swallow their prey whole and parts of their prey can’t be digested! Come and find out what your local owls have been eating…
Habitat Creation (Seed Bombs) – Get a bit messy and take away your own seed bomb to throw in a plant pot, flowerbed, or wild patch in your lawn. Wildflowers in your garden provide vital resources to support a wide range of insects that couldn’t otherwise survive in urban or built-up areas.

An annual festival which takes Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths out of the lab and into our everyday lives. The festival is about inviting the people of Nottinghamshire to share not only what they know, but also what they would like to know; it’s about celebrating curiosity, asking questions and taking a leading role in finding out the answers.
The festival is produced by local education charity Ignite!, in collaboration with a wide range of partners across Nottinghamshire and every February we create opportunities for local people to engage with science and research and express their curiosity.
