We've got fun events and activities for all the family in the warm welcome of your local library this February Half-term! Enjoy our engaging workshops, fantastic craft activities and more.

Storytime

Every Thursday in February 2026

10.30 - 10.45

BookTrust Storytime

Following our free Rattle Rhyme Roll sessions (10am start), we will be reading one of the BookTrust Storytime books every Thursday in February. When we've read them all children can vote for their favourite. There are stickers to collect along the way too! Target age is 0-5.

Valentine's Card Making Craft

Drop in between 10am and 12pm to make a Valentine's Card for someone who is special to you! Children of all ages are welcome.

Board Game Fun for Families

Drop in between 9:30am and 1pm for some Family Board Game Fun! We have a selection of games for children of all ages including Connect 4 and Frustration.

Chinese New Year Craft

Join us to celebrate Chinese New Year, we are making and decorating Chinese lanterns and fans.

This event is free of charge, no booking required, and is suitable for children under 12.

Board Games Club

Every Other Saturday

10.30am - 12pm

Fortnightly drop-in Games Club. Free and open to all. A wide selection of games available. All children must be fully supervised throughout by a responsible adult.

Valentine Card Craft

Join us at Skegby Library to celebrate Valentine’s Day! You could make a valentine card for someone special!

Chinese New Year Craft

New Year 2026! We will be making Red Envelopes which symbolise good wishes and luck for the new year! We will be writing special messages and popping chocolate coins inside!

10.30am - 11.30am

Parachute Games & Stories

Come and join in with some fun parachute games in the library and listen to stories that have been nominated for an award. Free. No booking required. All ages welcome - stories will be geared towards 0-5 years.

Parking is limited, please park locally, walk or travel by public transport where possible.
