City & Guilds Level 4 Diploma In Adult Care (England)

About the course

This qualification is designed to equip you with knowledge, and help you to develop and practise the skills needed to care for others in a broad range of health and social care settings.

While completing this qualification, you will cover topics like:

  • Health and safety, equality and diversity and safeguarding in social care settings
  • Understanding personalisation in care and facilitating support planning and 
  • person-centred assessment for positive outcomes and wellbeing

In addition, you can choose optional units and a pathway that suits your role, e.g. working with people with a learning disability, people with dementia or children and young people.

Is it for me?

This qualification is specifically designed for learners wanting to work and/or seek career progression in adult care in England. 

Attendance

A 12-month course, studying one session per week, with flexible learning options available to complete the course sooner.

The course can be classroom- and workplace-based or delivered entirely in the workplace by agreement. Various locations and times are available.
