About this course

This course is for those wishing to gain the knowledge necessary to pass the Associated Boards of the Royal College of Music (ABRSM) Grades 5 and/or 6 Theory Exams This course explains advanced elements of music theory using Western music notation. You will complete weekly exercises, culminating in the completion of ABRSM Theory Practice papers, which are marked to show your progress. By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge to complete an ABRSM Music Theory examination at grade 5 or 6. As this is an advanced course, it is recommended that you have previously attended one of Inspire’s Music Theory for Beginners or Music Theory Next Steps course, or be confidently working towards grade 5 level in music theory.
