About this course
This course is about learning human anatomy. The study of the body in an organised way to fully comprehend how all of the intricate functions and systems of the human body work together. Connect what you learn about anatomy and physiology to what you already know about your own body.
During the course, we will cover:
- Muscles of the body and how to keep them healthy
- How the kidneys and liver works
- What is DNA?
- Why the lymphatic system is important
- The nervous system and the brain
- The function of the skin
- How the heart functions
- Common health myths and misconceptions
- By taking this course, you will begin to think and speak in the language of the domain.
- You will be able to integrate the knowledge you gain about anatomy and physiology to support explanations of physiological phenomenon that is the human body.
- You will be able to understand the structure and function of the body, and the connection between the two.

To enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required). As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
