Are you new to mixed media? Using mixed media is a fun way to create art! This course will introduce you to using a variety of mixed media such as lino printing, mono printing, collage and sculpture. Over the course of the 5 weeks, you will learn how to successfully design and develop ideas to create art images and 3D elements using collage, mono printing and sculptural techniques.
By the end of the course, you will:
Build confidence using collage, mono printing, lino printing and sculptural techniques.
Create 2D outcomes.
Create 3D outcomes.
Understand and be able to use a variety of media such as ink, fabrics & paper, clay.
Build confidence in working with others to help integrate into a work environment.
Understand costing your work for selling purposes.
Please bring with you to the course:-
A basic sketchbook/notepad or paper to draw onto,
a pen, pencil, ruler, rubber, sharpener,
clay tools (Amazon sell packs of tools from as little as £5.99)
pack of air dry clay (any colour is fine 500g),
water based ink (any colour),
lino blocks (small) and 2x rollers.
Lino cutting tools will be provided.
A drink, notepad and pen
You will also be advised of what to bring each week.

Residency in England
To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must be living in England permanently and live outside of the devolved areas listed below or live within the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) devolved area (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire).

Residency Eligibility – other criteria
If you are living in the UK on a visa we will require evidence of this in order to be funded for the course, you can upload this evidence when you apply for the course. (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
Some exceptions may apply for example
Your visa expiry date must be beyond the end of your course
Asylum seekers must have lived in the UK for 6 months or longer while their claim is being considered by the Home Office
You are receiving local authority support under section 23C or section 23CA of the Children Act 1989 or the Care Act 2014
Any learner who is not funded full cost fees would apply to these courses.
