About this course

A traditional Sunday meal blending the African, Chinese, Indian and European cuisines but with a West Indian twist. Over the four weeks we will plan, prepare, cook and present 4 dishes: Brown stew chicken or pork, Callaloo (spinach soup), Macaroni Pie and Fried Rice You will learn how to prepare a traditional West Indian Sunday Meal with three popular side dishes to accompany this local favourite. You will also be exposed to the culture, music and traditions of life in the Caribbean. What will learners achieve by the end of the course? Apply food safety and nutrition principles in planning and preparations of food Plan and prepare ingredients for a curry menu Cook 4 West Indian creole dishes Present and Serve a complete Caribbean Sunday meal

To enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
