This Spring Crafts course offers an enjoyable and supportive opportunity to explore a variety of creative techniques while building confidence and practical skills. Each session will introduce you to different materials and processes, allowing you to experiment, and develop your own ideas at a comfortable pace.
Throughout the course, you will try a range of techniques, which include papercraft, collage, printing, painting, basic sewing, macramé, and needle felting. Sessions will include tutor led demonstrations and guided activities, with plenty of time for hands on experimentation and individual support.
The focus of the course is on exploring creative processes rather than working towards fixed outcomes. You will be encouraged to try new techniques, experiment with materials, and personalise your work, working at your own pace in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Alongside developing creative skills, the course also supports wellbeing and relaxation, using creativity as a mindful and enjoyable activity. Where appropriate, you will be encouraged to explore reusing, recycling, and repurposing materials, helping you to think creatively about making, while being resourceful and sustainable.
No previous experience is required. This course is suitable for beginners and anyone looking to enjoy creative time, build confidence, and explore a range of craft techniques in a friendly and supportive setting.
