About this course

This course is for those with some crochet experience who want to build on their skills. You’ll learn a range of stitches, how to read English and American crochet terms, and understand hook size conversions. You’ll also learn to measure projects and calculate stitch counts. By the end, you’ll be able to create items like bowls, bags, tissue box covers, and more with confidence. In this course, you’ll learn a variety of crochet stitches—from basics like single, double, and treble crochet to more advanced techniques like making corners, using a magic ring, working in the back loop, changing colours, and front post stitches. You’ll practice these through guided exercises and projects. You’ll also learn how to read and follow crochet patterns, understand both English and American stitch terms, and convert crochet hook sizes between Metric, US, and UK standards. The course will teach you how to choose the right hook for your yarn and how to measure and calculate stitches for your projects. By the end, you’ll have the skills to confidently create your own crochet items. This course also helps boost creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving—useful in both personal and professional life.
