About this course

In this course, you will learn the basic language that you might need when visiting a French-speaking country. This is a fun and relaxed class, where you will meet other students interested in travelling and learning. You will get lots of opportunities to speak French and discover a different culture. This is a course for absolute beginners and those who are beginning again. No previous knowledge is required. We will practise talking about yourself and your family, buying items in shops and giving directions. We will use videos, recordings, role-play, and games in class. What will learners achieve by the end of the course? Talk about yourself, your interests, your family, in French Converse in a shopping situation (including restaurants and transport) Find your way in a French-speaking country (ask for directions, name places, modes of transport) Read and write short paragraphs about familiar topics such as routine, hobbies, family. Use the present tense accurately for a range of verbs, orally and in writing Take part in group activities and speak in front of a group in French

To enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
