About this course

We will explore the most recent research on the gut microbiome and investigate the changes to our life and lifestyles over the past 75 years. Learners will understand the importance of gut health and explore strategies to promote a diverse microbiome. The link between the gut and brain will be highlighted and learners will consider basic changes to improve our gut and mental health. You will learn about the role of gut bacteria which have been associated with both our physical and mental health. Learners will also explore strategies to promote a diverse microbiome and make small changes to improve mental health. What will learners achieve by the end of the course? Identify the characteristics of a healthy microbiome List factors which influenced our life over the past century Recognise how our lifestyle impacts on physical and mental health Develop a strategy to improve gut bacteria Evaluate the progress of physical and mental health

To enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
