Learn how to create your own beaded jewellery designs, including bracelets, necklaces and earrings! By the end of the session, you will have made your own elastic bracelet, made a necklace with clasps and created beaded earrings.
What will learners achieve by the end of the course?
Identify and correctly use basic jewellery-making tools and materials suck as Jewellery pliers, beads, elastic and jump rings, during the creation of your jewellery pieces.
Thread and knot an elastic bracelet using beads and secure it with a knot.
Design and string a beaded necklace with your own choice of beads and fasten it using jump rings and clasp.
Create a pair of beaded earrings, adding beads to headpins and attaching to ear wires using loops.
What you will need to bring to the course:
Materials:
Selection of beads ( These can be new, or using up old broken jewellery)
Beading Wire (often called by the brand names Beadalon or Tiger Tail)
Jewellery Elastic (0.7mm or 0.8mm diameter)
Clasps
Necklace Ends (sometimes called Callottes or Bead Tips)
5mm or 6mm Jump Rings
Earrings (Fishhook or any style including clip-on with a loop at the bottom)
Headpins
Tools:
Set of Jewellery Pliers (including Round Nose Pliers, Cutters and at least one pair of Chain Nose Pliers, two pairs are helpful)
Bead mat or Tray

Residency in England
To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must be living in England permanently and live outside of the devolved areas listed below or live within the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) devolved area (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire).

Residency Eligibility – other criteria
If you are living in the UK on a visa we will require evidence of this in order to be funded for the course, you can upload this evidence when you apply for the course. (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
Some exceptions may apply for example
Your visa expiry date must be beyond the end of your course
Asylum seekers must have lived in the UK for 6 months or longer while their claim is being considered by the Home Office
You are receiving local authority support under section 23C or section 23CA of the Children Act 1989 or the Care Act 2014
Any learner who is not funded full cost fees would apply to these courses.
