About this course

Macramé is a relaxing and therapeutic craft; it keeps your hands busy and gives your mind time to rest. You will learn the basic knots needed to get started with macramé and by the end of the course you be able to complete your own project. There is no previous experience necessary to complete this course, just a desire to have a try. During the course, you will gain an understanding of; - Macrame equipment - Macrame knots What will learners achieve by the end of the course? - Learners will be able to identify and recall at least 3 of the basic materials and tools used in macramé, such as different types of cords. - Explain the steps involved in creating basic macramé knots: Larks Head Double Half Hitch Square Knot Half Knot - You will assess your completed macramé projects, and identify at least two areas for improvement. - Develop Pattern Reading Skills: learners will interpret and follow a basic macramé pattern independently. - Understand Pricing and Costs: learners will calculate the cost of materials and time for a single macramé project, enabling them to price their products effectively for profit. - Explore Business Platforms: learners will identify and evaluate three potential platforms or marketplaces (e.g., Etsy, Instagram) for selling their macramé products.
