About this course

Explore the basics of 3D needle felting in this six-week course designed for beginners. Each week you’ll build new skills through creative projects, including making a bee and a toadstool. The course gradually develops your techniques and confidence, leading to a final project that brings together everything you’ve learned. Join us to discover the joy of crafting three-dimensional wool sculptures in a friendly, supportive environment. This fun and creative five-week course is ideal for those who have already tried basic needle felting and are ready to explore 3D forms in more depth. You’ll learn how to build and shape more complex forms, join separate components, and add expressive details to bring your characters and creations to life. Projects may include small animals, wearable brooches, and decorative items using both simple and advanced techniques. Each week, you’ll build confidence through hands-on practice and create a range of small 3D items, with the final sessions focused on completing a more detailed personalised project. No prior advanced skills are needed, but some experience of basic needle felting (e.g., flat felting or simple 3D shapes) is helpful. This course is designed to support continued development in a relaxed, friendly setting.
