Whether you’re new to the internet or want to feel more secure online, this friendly, one-session course will help you use the digital world safely and with confidence.
You’ll explore practical ways to protect your personal information, create strong passwords, recognise secure websites, and understand your rights and responsibilities online. We’ll also explain current online safety rules and regulations in a clear, simple way.
The session focuses on real-life situations, helping you spot risks like phishing, unsafe websites and misleading messages - and what to do if something goes wrong. No prior knowledge is needed.
By the end, you’ll feel informed, confident and better equipped to stay safe online. Learners may bring their own device if they wish, but it’s not required. Refreshments available.
This course, for adults, is funded by the UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund.
If you receive certain benefits you will be offered the course for free, however if you have a financial barrier which may prevent you from enrolling on the course, please visit our funding page for further information.
