About this course

Paper Stencil Screen printing is a simple, easily accessible introduction to screen printing. Ideal for those with no experience or those wanting to improve their skills. We will be creating a 4 or 5 colour print from initial photographs or drawings…the choice is yours.

During the course you will design your own image to make prints from and learn about how to make a simple colour separation for your print. You will select and mix your own printing inks and explore the potential of the process by experimenting with both opaque and transparent inks to build up your image. You will be supported by discussion of other artists and designers work and by demonstrations, personal experimentation and individual tuition.

By the end of the course everyone will have explored and gained confidence with this simple block colour screen printing process, produced finished creative prints and gained skills for future art and design work.
