Over this 4-hour session you will cover the steps needed to guide you through the legalities of setting up a therapy business, including how to self-promote with the use of social media.
This course is designed to give you the tools required to explore becoming self-employed or volunteering in the holistic industry.
This course is great as a starter or as an awareness if you are recently new to self-employment
On this course, we will look at what the cobra system is and how this relates to Nottinghamshire Libraries. We will cover the basics of select therapies and what certificate levels are required to become self-employed in those fields. You will go through the legalities required, and what insurance cover is required. Look into local authorities, who to notify and when, during the business startup process. We will also touch upon business banking basics.
Setting up your UTR (unique tax reference number) and research if you need to be part of any associations related to your holistic therapy. Finally, we will explore marketing and website design - should you pay or design your own? The information is based on Wix sites. (others are available) We will also cover how to self-promote through social media. You will understand how to use hashtags to optimise your visibility through Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
