This course is for learners who have already done basic Spanish and Next Steps and are ready to take their learning further (Grammatically and in conversation). The overall outcome of the course (over three terms) is to learn to speak about everyday topics such as your studies, refer to past and events and how long ago something happened, make detailed enquires,, describe places and people, enquire about accommodation etc.
What will be covered on the course?
Talk about your studies and the languages you speak
Refer to past events
Describe places and people you knew in the past
Express hope, intention and regret
Talk about future events and plans
Report and discuss the weather
Enquire about accommodation and book into a hotel, state your personal requirements
Ask how to get to a place and ask and give information about transport
What will learners achieve by the end of the course?
Learners will be able to use the grammar and verbs to construct complex sentences and conversations
To be able to converse in a variety of topics and apply grammatical rules
Enquire about accommodation and transport (tourist vocabulary)
Describe places and people Past and future tense

Residency in England
To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must be living in England permanently and live outside of the devolved areas listed below or live within the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) devolved area (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire).

Residency Eligibility – other criteria
If you are living in the UK on a visa we will require evidence of this in order to be funded for the course, you can upload this evidence when you apply for the course. (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
Some exceptions may apply for example
Your visa expiry date must be beyond the end of your course
Asylum seekers must have lived in the UK for 6 months or longer while their claim is being considered by the Home Office
You are receiving local authority support under section 23C or section 23CA of the Children Act 1989 or the Care Act 2014
Any learner who is not funded full cost fees would apply to these courses.
