About this course
This Textile Design course will teach you how to create repeat pattern designs looking at block repeat, step repeats and many more. These designs can then be transferred into fashion or interiors such as upholstery, curtains, cushions etc. Come along and try some easy steps that can help you build confidence in drawing techniques and see how easy it is to create these patterns.
Over the course of the 5 weeks, you will learn a variety of basic drawing techniques and repeat pattern techniques that can then be transformed into fashion or interiors design ideas.
By the end of the course, you will:
Build confidence in basic repeat pattern drawing skills for textile design.
Create a variety of finished 2D outcomes.
Understand and be able to use a variety of media such as pen, pencil and colours.
Build confidence in working with others to help integrate into a work environment.
Understand costing your work for selling purposes.

To enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required). As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
