Bradshaw’s and An Early Railway Tour

Everything might now be online, but until a few years ago everybody who wanted to travel by train needed to know their way around the timetable. Join local historian Robert Mee for a look at the history of the country’s most famous timetable, Bradshaw’s Guide. And following that introduction, Robert will take the audience on a tour, using Bradshaw’s from 1922 – you may well know the places where we stop, but you are guaranteed to learn something new about them. This is not a “railway talk” as such, but simply uses the railway as a means of getting around. A history mystery tour!
