Participants will work with magnets and batteries to create small electromagnets which mimic the large powerful electromagnets that UKAEA use in fusion energy machines.

There will be six workshops over the course of the day, 9.30am - 10.15am, 10.30am - 11.15pm, 11.30am - 12.15pm, 1.30pm - 2.15pm, 2.30pm - 3.15pm and 3.30pm - 4.15pm.

The festival is produced by local education charity Ignite!, in collaboration with a wide range of partners across Nottinghamshire. Every February they create opportunities for local people to engage with science and research and express their curiosity.
