Tappin' In at Mansfield Carnival 2025

Young dancers and musicians from Inspire Youth Arts have been tapping, dancing and making music, with Artists from Tappin' In through, regular weekly sessions at The Old Library since April 2025. 

The group have had an amazing experience learning how to tap dance and create percussive music, whilst creating a brand new performance piece to be performed at Mansfield Carnival 2025!

Mansfield Carnival, hosted by Mansfield District Council, is returning for its third year! This year’s theme, "One World," is all about global unity and the power of coming together as one community, as well as promoting environmental sustainability. From vibrant parades to eco-conscious choices, this years Carnival celebrates both cultural diversity and our shared responsibility for the planet.

• 1:30pm – Punjabi Roots | Traditional Dhol drummers with DJ set

• 1.45pm - Tappin’ In with Inspire Youth Arts | Tap dance with live music.

• 2pm – DJ Kilo (Heat Fest) | Reggae, Soca & Afrobeat infused set representing music from the Caribbean & Africa 

• 2:20pm – Red Hot Band | Energetic local band

• 2:40pm – DJ Kilo (Heat Fest) | Reggae, Soca & Afrobeat infused set representing music from the Caribbean & Africa 

• 3pm – Matamando | Gospel music from Malawi

• 3:35pm – MUHA | Eastern European Contemporary Folk 

• 4:05pm – Lady Rose | Contemporary pop music with a reggae flair

• 4:30pm – Dialtone Sound | Island vibes set representing music from the Caribbean 

• 5:00pm – Tippa Irie | Grammy nominated reggae MC from the legendary Saxon Sound System. 

There will be lots of  amazing and fun activities happening throughout the day including,
