A war hero, serving in both world wars, explosives expert, tv personality and Beeston resident, Col Brian D Shaw was all these things (and more). 

 His amazing life story, from birth in Ilkeston in 1898 to his death in 1999 will be revealed by his biographer, Clare Wilkes, in this illustrated talk.
