Join us for a scavenger hunt around your home finished with a story told by the fabulous storyteller John Kirk.

Suitable for families with children aged 3 - 7 this free interactive session will include the retelling of a popular fairy tale.

Adventurers will need 

  • an internet-enabled device to connect to the event via Zoom, 
  • a piece of paper 
  • crayons, pens or pencils to draw a picture 
  • ... plus permission to turn their house upside down!


Running time:
30 minutes

This is an online event. Sessions will be delivered via Zoom.

We will send you the Zoom meeting details the day before the session. 

Story Hunt: Information for parents and carers

Other points to be aware of before booking a place on a Story hunt.

  • Participants are required to book in advance.  A waiting room is enabled to ensure only those who have booked places are admitted.
  • Access codes to the Zoom session will be emailed to you 24hrs before the event.  
  • To maximize participation all participants are asked to keep their camera on.
  • To ensure everyone can hear the storyteller clearly and to  prevent background noise.  Microphones will be muted.
  • We ask parents & carers stay with their child throughout the session.  Children will be asked to search the house for items to join in with the story.


Online Platform

Zoom (www.zoom.us) is the online platform we will be using to run this session.

  • You do not need to have a Zoom account -  a meeting link will be emailed to the email address you provide when booking.

The recommended equipment needed for online sessions is

  • A PC/Laptop, iPad/tablet or ‘phone that can run Zoom (an app may need to be downloaded if using an iPad/tablet or ‘phone) with a webcam and microphone
  • A desk/table for the laptop/PC, tablet or ‘phone
  • Good power supply
  • Minimum 2 mbps broadband speed
