Southwell Library

Southwell Library

Welcome to Southwell Library!

Situated in the heart of Southwell on King Street, we are a friendly team and always happy to help.  There is always something happening in Southwell Library, for children we have weekly Rattle, Rhyme and Roll Sessions on a Monday morning,  Storytime Hullaballoo every Tuesday, and for the more creative we have a Lego Club every Friday and Saturday.

There is a wide range of events for adults too that take place in the evening, from Jazz to Blues or Classical to Rock Concerts, Plays, Readings, Author Visits. There are regular Open Mic nights were budding authors of poetry prose, scripts…anything! Anyone can come along and read their work to a friendly receptive audience.

We have several Rooms for Hire, from a small counselling room to the whole of the library, perfect for any size of group. There is a large coffee area, with coffee or hot chocolate at £1 it’s a great place to meet friends and socialize, or just come and read one of our daily papers or magazines. We have an excellent Local History Collection including books, maps and photographs of Southwell and the surrounding villages.

Don’t forget we have a Facebook page @InspireSouthwellLibrary where you can find out what’s happening in Southwell Library.

We look forward to welcoming you very soon!
