Your local Inspire library offers a wide range of children's books to support children's interest and enjoyment of reading in and out of school. Inspire Libraries welcomes visits from school classes to browse and find out more about what the library has available.
Class visit: Introduction to the library
Led by a member of Inspire Library staff the visits will introduce the library, spark imagination, and encourage reading for pleasure.
Sessions are tailored to the age group, are interactive and include:
- Introducing what the library has and how it works including finding and choosing books
- Book based fun eg story, quiz or other activity
- Time to browse and borrow* from
the library
Running time: 45 mins - 1 hour
Cost: FREE
*To borrow from the library children will need their own libary card. The library can support you to arrange this in advance by supplying membership forms to be sent home with parents. If returned to the library 2 weeks before the planned visit, cards will be ready for the children on the day.
