About this course

Our autism practical tips course is parents, grandparents, carers, or any person who cares and supports a child with (or without) a diagnosis of autism. It will offer you an opportunity to gain an understanding about Autism and offer practical tips for supporting and understanding autism.

What will be covered on the course? What will be taught to learners?

What is the Autistic Spectrum and how does it affect children and their families
Challenges with communication and social interaction.
The seven senses and sensory processing differences. Sensory stimulation.
Providing a safe and supported environment for a child in the home
Getting out and about – can it me made easier?
Current legislation

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

By the end of the course the learners will have had an opportunity to gain knowledge about Autism and share practical tips for supporting a child with (or without) a diagnosis of autism.

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed. You will also need a notepad and pen.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
