About this course

About this course

This fun, ballet-based workout is a group exercise working the whole body for an improved sense of wellbeing. Improve your upper-body and core strength, improve flexibility and feel invigorated. Suitable for those new to dance or exercise in general. Fitness and shape are not important.

Through ballet exercises and choreography, you will learn to use the language of dance to strengthen your bodies and minds.  Link moves together to which you can practice at home, to build stamina, flexibility and creativity.  You will learn the basic positions (first, second, third, fourth, fifth, releve, plie, tendu, degage) and the language to help fully realise each movement and its value, and how it is utilised in ballet practice.

Resources Required:

A yoga mat or similar, comfortable clothing suitable for exercise, soft ballet shoes (not essential).
