About this course

In this course at Daybrook Baptist Church, learners will be taught basic IT skills, helping them to respond to common problems and be able to organise, store and retrieve information. They will also understand the need for safety and security practices, and learn how to use the internet more safely.

Learners will be able to get online with an internet connection, use browser software and tools for navigation, searching and communicating information whilst following safe and secure practices when working online. They will be taught basic IT skills and have the chance to ask questions.

Learners are encouraged to bring a portable IT device, such as a laptop or smartphone, but laptops can be provided for learners that require one for use during the session.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

• Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
• Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
